Melissa Meyer

Born 1947. Lives and works in New York.

Melissa Meyer's large abstract paintings, watercolors, prints, and drawings are made up of fields of gestures. With large color wash shapes, she develops a structural space into which the gestural calligraphic marks penetrate or hover, creating a complex color world.
